Chapter 148 Naomi Is Missing
- Jeremy stormed out of the party, fists clenched and a furious look barely hidden on his face. All the pressure from the organization weighed heavily on him, the lies, the blackmail, it felt like a vice around his chest. He hardly waited for his driver; the chilly air did nothing to temper the fire burning inside him.
- Twenty minutes later, he found himself in the back of an unmarked black SUV parked quietly downtown. Facing him was Agent Keller, a senior FBI agent who'd been watching the organization from afar for months. Jeremy had reached out to him weeks earlier, unsure of whom to trust. Now, though, he had no choice.
