• “What do you want from me, Victor?” Daniel asked, tightening his jaw, “Do you think I was going to die? You're wrong because as you can see, I'm absolutely fine.”
• Victor’s jaw tightened, his nostrils flared, and a deep scowl crept across his face. “A good samaritan must have helped a bastard like you. Just be grateful to the good Lord.” He smirked, and his eyes flicked to Daniel's wrist and sneered, “A new watch? Where did you even get the money from?”
