Around Noah, the male lead, a cluster of young women hung on his every word, their faces glowing with admiration as he recounted his triumphs in the entertainment world. Nearby, Lucia and Vanessa had grown inseparable, gossiping excitedly about the diamond bracelet Lucia’s father had just gifted her.
• But I couldn’t focus on their chatter. My eyes kept darting around, restless and uneasy. I had so many scenes with the second male lead, and his skill would make or break my own performance. It mattered more than anything.
