• Sometimes, I try so much not to feel something that all I end up doing is feeling a lot. For instance, when I was younger, my father had tried to deprive me of my role in the family because I'd broken into tears after my first and only love left me. I'd been trying to hold back my emotions so much that when they tipped over, they'd been too much too much to handle.
