Chapter 1

  • I couldn't rely on my sight. My parents had a childhood photograph of me hidden away. I was lied to by my parents; I had a twin sibling. I sat on my bed and stared at the picture. How are they able to harm us in this way? I continued to stare at the picture for what seemed like hours. As my mother opened my door, I hopped. I made an effort to hide the image, but it was too late; she had already seen it.
  • Why didn't you tell me, I demanded. She complained, so I asked.
  • I glared at my mother, who responded, "To protect baby."
  • I don't believe in you! She scowled as I yelled.
  • "I don't care if you don't believe me, but you won't talk about this to anyone," she said. She snapped, snatching the picture out of my hands. As soon as I noticed Drake the Alpha, I stood up after her downward glances. As soon as my mother gave me the picture, I quickly avoided it. As he examined her, she grinned at him. Why are you in this location?
  • As her grin vanished, he remarked, "I heard that you know when either of the Lycans are."
  • She strained and added, "Please accept my apologies, but it is false. I felt both his fury and his yearning.
  • She jumped as he growled, "On the odd chance that you don't let me know, I'll take you before the pack and murder you, your better half, and minimal Sapphire."
  • "I don't know," you say. As he grabbed her throat, she yelled. I gasped, desperately trying to aid her, but I soon realized that I was powerless to do so. I sneaked back into my room. I carefully closed the door. I texted my father on the phone to warn him to stay away. She refused to let me use my jewelry to help, so I called her. I'm aware that I need to find my brother in order to assist him, and even if I did, it's possible that I won't ever find him. When I heard her screams, I understood that she was being slain.
  • "Chad, you need to find them. The only person capable of killing them is you!" Drake hung up the phone gobbling. I crawled beneath my bed as hot tears raced down my face. While Drake was walking through the house, I stopped breathing. He entered my room and opened the wardrobe. I am aware that you are here, Sapphire, and I won't harm you. I stopped before deciding that my best chance was about to present itself. He is unaware that my mother gave me the powerful Lycan gene. She gave me tips on how to turn when the moon was full and how to be cautious when it wasn't. She also advised me on how to control my solidarity.
  • I mumbled, "Drake please don't hurt me," as he scowled. He circled me as he walked forward, touching my golden hair.
  • He replied, making me frown, "I feel you should enlist in my gatekeeper."
  • I mumbled, "I'm only seventeen," and he laughed.
  • "As a result, you are arguably one of the strongest competitors. You alone could defeat my beta, "I was considering my options when he said.
  • I firmly answered, forcing my lips into a tight line, "Fine still given that you spare my dad."
  • He grabbed my arm and pulled me to the ground, saying, "Bargain currently gives up." He dragged me over to his car and shoved me in the driver's seat. He extended to his house, which resembled a fort more. He stopped his car as he approached his better half, his beta, inside.
  • He beckoned a watchman over, and I inquired, "Where do I change into proper gatekeeper clothing?" I forced a swallow while knowing that staying here would be a huge risk to my health. If even one person noticed my coloration, they would know. The wolf-head-shaped patch of skin pigmentation reached my left shoulder bone.
  • Drake said as he left, "Nate will show you. I got out of the jeep after Nate. He had lifeless hair and piercing blue eyes. He gave me a pair of dark combat boots and a dark tank top to wear. I grabbed a dark, thin coat and pulled it on. I really wanted to laugh at their selection of variety.
  • I asked Nate as I was leaving the restroom, "Nate, what do I do all day?"
  • Nate ordered me to enter the main home to look for Danielle by saying, "Shadow his significant other." I ruminated for a while before finding Drake and Danielle in the library. As soon as I realized they were investigating the Gemini Lycans, my tension increased. As they read various volumes, I stayed up against the wall next to one more gatekeeper.
  • Are you confident that none of the pack members had twins? Drake looked at me since Danielle asked for it.
  • Do you know at least somewhat who had twins, Sapphire? I could see from his question that he wanted to analyze my answer.
  • I firmly replied, "No sir, on the off chance if I had, I would inform you," hoping he wouldn't be able to detect I was lying.
  • Danielle returned to her book as he said, "See, nobody knows there are any twins in the pack."
  • She turned the book around and exclaimed, "Hello, I found something. "A Gemini Lycan can be hurt by a blade."
  • He quickly turned his gaze to mine and stated, "I've seen this before." At Sapphire's residence!
  • I politely answered, "Sir, I can go get it if you like," hoping he wouldn't put me to the test.
  • As I walked through the yard and down the steps, he added, "Take Nate with you. I heard Nate pleading with him.
  • He tossed me a handful of keys and I said, "We are going to my apartment to get Drake a special blade. Taking the cruisers, then?
  • He drove me to the bicycles and said, "In fact, let's go now." I had faith in looking it up. I quickly exited the facility while donning a protective headgear. As we accelerated near my house, my hair swirled behind me. I got off the bike and sped inside, stopping when I saw my mother staring blankly at me. I took a deep breath before entering my mother's room and carefully grabbing the blade. I approached Nate and handed it to him.
  • I said, getting back on the bike, "It's right here." Despite having the need to run as I drove, I continued to the compound. I did not know how I was going to save myself from my current situation and I had no way out.
