Chapter 8

• As everyone turned to face me and rumors started to circulate in the courtyard, I got out of the automobile. Nate caught my eye with his mouth hanging open. Drake led the way for me inside the home. He turned to face him after the door was shut.
• "The only reason you are alive is the leaders in the other pack banned your death unless you do something that endangers us. Given that the first Gemini was made by two alphas, they said you are technically royal "Drake stated as Danielle glared at me from in front of her.
• "I don't want her remaining here!" As tears gathered in my eyes, Danielle yelled.
• I yelled back as a sharp agony shot through my body, "I don't want to be here, I want to be with Nathan, but you said you guys would murder him so here I am." Although that was the only way to save Nathan, I missed him.
• You expected me to believe you after lying to me about the Gemini? I gasped as she demanded.
• "Consider it in this manner. You everyone were talking about killing the Lycans who you have said something if you were me?!" I said, knowing I was correct as she scowled. What specifically do you want from me?
• I gasped and Drake replied, "A figurehead and an extremely good weapon." When attending formal events like the Beta, they wanted to parade me around.
• I responded, "Fine," as he seized my arm. "What?"
• "The study used to be here, now it's your room. Get ready in a dress since you have a party tonight "Drake remarked as I approached what was now my room. Though I was aware that I wasn't safe, I didn't see any other options. I entered my room and found a silk dress in the color sky blue. I pulled it till it reached mid-thigh on the material. It had tiny straps and a plunging neckline. I gave the reflection a dejected glance. After putting on the silver high heels with straps, I pulled my hair into a side ponytail that was draped. Before placing my crown atop my head, I curled it. When I heard a knock at the door, I spun.
• I smiled a dejected look and said, "Come in."
• You're home, honey! I moved away from my dad when he grinned.
• I forcefully commanded, "Don't touch me," as he abruptly stopped.
• He replied, "I didn't intend for this to happen," as I groaned.
• I muttered, "Just like you didn't instruct me to kill my own brother," as my anguish grew with each passing second.
• He murmured, his eyes beseeching Sapphire to forgive him since he had messed up. I wished Nathan was here at this precise time as I thought of him. He'd be aware of what to do. I turned my head away as tears threatened to spill from my eyes.
• I said, "I need time," with my voice shaking.
• "Fine, I'll give you some space," he said, exiting the room. When I heard someone enter, I managed to gather myself. I turned to look for Nate.
• I softly uttered "Nate" as he examined me.
• "You are a Gemini Lycan, I've been told. I wanted to let you know that it did not alter how I felt about you. Since you arrived here, I've taken good care of you, and I will keep doing so "Nate remarked, which made my mouth drop. Regardless of what others thought of me, he liked me.
• That means a lot to me, Nate. I hurried over and forcibly pressed my lips against his. As soon as he relaxed into the kiss, his hands were on my waist, and I felt the heat spreading over me. When Drake walked in, I was attempting to break off the kiss.
• Wow," he exclaimed, beckoning me closer. "I see you found a good match," I said.
• He nodded, "Can Nate accompany me to the party?" I requested.
• Drake remarked as he turned to go, "Fine, I'll go fetch Danielle." With a tiny smile playing at the corner of my lips, I turned to face Nate. As I started moving toward Nate, I noticed that I was forgetting everything that had happened. As Nate and I stared at one other, the anguish numbed my love for Nate, and I forgot that I was a prisoner. As we ascended the steps leading to the ballroom, I took hold of his arm. Drake and Danielle took a position in front of us to introduce me to the group.
• As everyone became silent, Danielle added, "Today we assemble here in celebration of one girl who could signify the end to every threat facing us as Lycans."
• As the doors were opened and Nate escorted us inside, Drake exclaimed, "Please welcome one of our Gemini Lycans Sapphire." I waved as we stopped on the balcony. I continued to act happy while everyone applauded and clapped. Good job, princess.
• I firmly whispered, "Don't call me that," maintaining my smile.
• I sighed and Danielle replied, "You need to get used to your title since it will be used frequently."
• Nate escorted me to the dance floor and down the stairs, and I responded, "Fine." As we moved to the music, his hands were on my waist as I faced him. We swayed, and I grinned at him.
• "When you departed, what happened? Drake and Chad were asked, but neither would respond "I gazed into Nate's blue eyes as he questioned.
• "I went in quest of my brother with Chad. When we found him, I wasn't sure what I was going to do, but I was certain that I had to save him. Chad recognized who I was. He gave me a kiss before getting the knife, and when I was looking away, he stabbed me. I escaped and located Nathan. As much as he could for a witch, he shielded me. I departed with them after they caught up to Nathan and threatened him "As his tears gathered in his aquamarine eyes, I replied quietly.
• "I regret that you were hurt. Did you locate your sibling?" I cringed at the question Nate posed. Upon sensing my suffering, he said, "You don't have to tell me.
• "I am aware of his whereabouts, but I haven't yet gone there. I sense him, and he is joyful right now "I remarked while trying not to cry. For as long as possible, "he deserves a regular life." If I weren't a Lycan Princess, I would love to live a normal life.
