Chapter 7
- Nysera.
- "Why didn't you apologize to Rana yesterday?"
- I was in Alpha Reed's office, after he had decided that whatever we had to solve or discuss about could take place the next day, which was today.
- I rolled my eyes at his question. "Isn't it obvious?" I asked back, taking him by surprise.
- "I have no idea of what I was apologizing, so tell me." I gritted.
- He lunged forward, had a thought or two before he stopped. "Is it because you had stayed out in the wild for a long time that had resulted to you being rude or what?"
- "No, you made me this way. You and the rest of your family turned me into this woman today." I said, taking him off guard.
- There was gasp coming from outside the door, I felt their faint presence from where I stood while they stood there, eavesdropping. I was sure that it was Rana and Blade.
- No guard or maid could come to this side of the house, and at a time like this when they knew that their Alpha was scolding his lost but found daughter. "You are not my daughter."
- "I never said I was." I spoke back. "Wait, let me make it easier for you. From today on, I am not a part of this family. If I could get my own way, then the blood that we shared will be drained out of my body but I have no choice." I tsked, fitting everything in a single breath.
- Saying those words should had broken me, made me cry but I was brand new, untouched by their words or actions. "Is that what you want? You think you can survive out there without a family? Alpha Reed scoffed.
- "You have the scent of this family and out there, you will be nothing but a prey to the predators that always lingered around. You wouldn't even feed them dinner."
- I nodded my head in agreement. "You are right and it is better to be a prey than stay under you. Thank you for giving me a space to stay while you can!"
- Just then, the door was pushed opened and Rana walked inside, then her bodyguard, Blade followed after. "Don't leave, Nysera. You are the rightful owner not me. I will leave for you."
- I folded my hands, looking her shake as she said each words. "Would you truly leave if I ask you to?" I raised a brow.
- Would she? "Yes! If you want me to leave so that you can be able to claim your place then I am willing to do it but please, don't drop it on them." She cried out.
- "You are not going anywhere, Rana. You are the daughter that I know and care about." Alpha Reed comforted her. Oh yes, his beloved. “So, apologize for what you did and I will let it off for the last time.”
- I smacked my lips together, I was totally tired of hearing how I needed to apologize. “If I do need to apologize, then I deserve to know what I am apologizing for right?”
- Blade stood tall, ready to strike when given the chance. His tall figure would have scared back into the hiding, it would have shattered my heart at the thoughts of what he could do to me.
- Yet, I was standing right in front of him, knowing that I could take whatever he could dished out and even give him more in return. “You are acting like a corny saint.”
- “You told Mr. Warren, that you are the legitimate daughter of this pack! And the rightful to the throne, not Rana. You even went ahead to provide him with a picture of you.” He said in a breath, then pushed his phone right in front of my face.
- There I was, holding one of the sacred fire of the pack house, it was the day that I had stepped into the house, and a secret ceremony took place for me.
- But one thing for sure was that I had no idea the picture had been snapped, or even given to the said person. “What prove do you have that I did that?” I barked back.
- “It could anyone in this room.” My gaze followed all of them in the room before I began to point at them. “It could you, and you or even you.”
- Rana forced out her tears, coughing in between just to make it worst. “I agree, that it was me. I take the blame, so please, don’t go. I will let you shine as I had promised.”
- “Rana.” Alpha Reed called out. “This is the last time that you will say something about leaving. You belong here!”
- He wiped away her lone tears, really everything about Rana should be studied. How she put down all these acts should be a wonder. "Yes, Rana. You are my sister, she never had a place in here, not after what she had done yesterday."
- "Well, I guess we have gotten the final choice. I leave while the mighty loved daughter stays back." I turned to walk away only to be stopped by Alpha Reed's voice.
- He didn't think that I was bluffing right? that I was only pretending so that they would give me all of their attention? "If you step out of this house, without apologizing to Rana then you will never be one of again, we will cut all ties with you."
- "I was never one of you." I breathed.
- As I packed up my clothes, the ones that I had walked into this house with, the door was pushed opened. “You don’t have to do this honey. This is also your home, just let it go.” Luna Ysolde said softly.
- I scoffed, putting down my box. “Let it go?” I questioned. “If staying back and letting everyone walk down on me is how you let things go, then I am sorry Luna but I won’t stay. I have made up my mind.” I concluded.
- Her eyes had tears in them, ready to spill but it didn’t move me. “One day, you will find peace in your heart and find us. When you do, remember that the pack house would always be opened to you!”
- “I hope that the day never comes, the day that I would find peace and forgive every single one of you.” I spat.
