Chapter 25: Part of the Plan

• Victor’s P.O.V:
• I pulled the covers over Kendra’s sleeping form and sank into the bed next to her.
• Kendra looked peaceful when she slept, no signs of the demons that haunt her every waking second of the day. But I know she’s still aware of them, even now. Something keeps holding her back from truly committing to something and I plan to find that out exactly what that is. It’s very difficult to get Kendra to do something she doesn’t want to do and I’d pinned my hopes on the fact that she had felt at least a fraction of what I felt for her, because while we’d been together, it had been the best days of my life and I refuse to believe that I was the only one who’d felt something for Kenna. And the trick had worked. It proved that she still felt something for me.
