Out of his original 60,105 coins, he was having 26,605 coins balance. He wasn't sure about the price of getting a subordinate but, It was time to find out.
A subordinate would consume coins to get summoned but he was sure that this was going to save him some more troubles in the coming future. He had already began creating his own foundation and he knew that he alone couldn't make it fast enough.
A good example was managing the dungeon. If he got someone that had the ability to train warriors, then the goblins that would be in the dungeon would be trained well. In the future, if he summoned them, they would be able to display their abilities to the maximum as humanoid monsters with some intelligence.
