• I was in a ‘coma’ for three days. To keep up the pretence of being half-dead, I never left the room and only Killian, Jack and Harold were allowed in. The physician already realized I was not poisoned but he came and went to maintain appearance.
• “How is the situation outside?” Killian moved his work to the bedroom and Jack delivered mine so we spent all the time working together in silence.
