Chapter 4 Frame
- The party is over, but Hugo refuses to leave because his friends have just arrived. I was making my way up the stairs when I noticed a few visitors selecting their guest room while the maids assisted them. I approached a maid and requested a vacant room. She walked me to the end of the row and handed me the key.
- She has gone, so I insert the key into the doorknob. I was about to open it completely when a hand stopped me.
- I recognized mommy Helena when I looked at who it was. I gave her the ‘what a problem-look.’
- “What are you doing here? Hugo’s room is not here,” she stated unequivocally.
- “No, Mom. I intend to sleep, he—” Because she dragged me up, I didn’t finish what I was going to say.
- Do they act without first getting the approval of the person with whom they are conversing? Maybe they race like that because Hugo inherited it. I had no choice but to go along with it.
- We came to a halt in front of the black door. If you ask if it’s totally black, the answer is absolute ‘Yes.’
- We’ve arrived on the third floor. On this floor, there are only two doors, both of which are completely black. There is a balcony at the far end of the hallway with a view of the forest. In front of these rooms is a long handrail that connects to the stairs, where you can see the party if you peek.
- There’s no denying their prosperous way of life. As I looked around, I noticed mommy Helena, who had not yet entered Hugo’s room and was still standing.
- “Mom, why aren’t you coming in yet?”
- She just smiled at me, and something made a sound in her hand. I was just staring at it, so she took my hand, opened my palm, and laid it there.
- “Hugo rarely comes home here now that he has his condo. I don’t even look at his room anymore; I just ask the maids to clean it,” she rubbed my palm with the key, “can I request you something?”
- “Yes, mommy. It just depends on what I can do,” I joked before asking, “What is it?”
- “Please look after my Hugo. I’m not sure why you agreed to marry him, but I hope you choose him every day, even when he isn’t someone who should be chosen. You will also grow to like him. ”
- My eyes widened because of what she said.
- “All I want to do is put pressure on him to introduce us to a woman. I want his father to give him the company. ”
- I couldn’t say anything. Because she knew about Hugo and me, I closed my mouth in embarrassment.
- “Perhaps you’re wondering how I found out your name. You are aware of our wealth, so hiring a private detective is simple. ”
- “Sorry.” That was the only thing that came out of my mouth.
- Mommy Helena continued to hold my hand while her free hand caressed my right cheek.
- “I do not require you to apologize. If you are guilty, simply pay me by caring for my child.”
- “I’ll do everything I can until we both decide to stop doing our agreement.” Because she was crying over the promise I made, I shed a few tears as well.
- “Then I’m satisfied,” she said, nodding and taking a step back.
- She hugged me once before leaving to return to the party. She’d already given me the key.
- When I opened the door to Randall’s room, the scent of his perfume enveloped my nose. I noticed the black-colored wall when I flipped the light switch on the side. The only difference is that the design contains a lot of white stains.
- There isn’t much to see except the typical content material of the room, which includes a king-size bed, a bedside table with a lamp, a large white cabinet that is likely to contain all the villagers’ clothes, and a body mirror because of the size. I dropped my body because I was tired. After all, the bed was clean. But, because of my sticky body, I began removing my dress and heels. I didn’t bother locking the door because I knew no one was going to come in.
- I was still singing while removing my clothes one by one when the door unexpectedly opened in the middle of removing my red underwear.
- Hugo’s drunken eyes met mine, puzzled by what he saw. It wasn’t until then that I realized I was naked and my chest was uncovered.
- I screamed and threw pillows and whatever else I could get my hands on. He just ignores everything I fling at him. When I ran out of things to toss, I noticed the picture frame on the side table.
- His eyes widened quickly and spoke. “Okay! Okay! I’m going to turn now! Never let it break! ” He stated hysterically. He quickly turned around and said, “Give that back! I’ve now turned away.”
- I first looked at the photo and saw his face when he was still a student. His uniform is dark blue with a red necktie, and he smiles as he embraces someone who resembles his uniform but is the only feminine difference. I couldn’t see the woman’s face because something had cropped it out of the frame.
- When he asked again, “What now?” I was taken aback.
- “Wait!” I’ve already returned the picture frame to its original location. I dashed to his cabinet, opened it, and took whatever clothes I could find.
- “I’m finished!” I yelled angrily.
- I noticed his burning eyes when he turned to face me.
- ‘What is this man’s problem? Is that frame that important?’ I questioned myself.
- I took a step back as he approached me quickly. As he got closer, he took up the space between the two of us. Until I leaned against the cabinet.
- When he brought his face close to mine, I was taken aback by what happened next.
