Chapter 17 Afraid

• Adele put her phone on the bed and rushed to the bathroom. Even though her private area was in pain, she withstood it with tears. She passed the bathtub and went directly to the shower.
• Her thoughts strayed once again as she was soaping. She couldn’t express her uneasiness and was afraid her heart might explode. The flow of water in the bathroom paralleled the flow of hundreds of questions in her heart and head. Hugo and Soleil’s meeting causes inexplicable worry and anxiety.
• ‘Am I selfish if I prevent fate from bringing them together?’ she wondered.
