Chapter 38

• "How are you feeling today, Mr. Howard?" Stacy asked Carlton immediately after she saw him approaching her in his wheelchair as soon as she arrived at his house.
• "I am doing great, and I am grateful for your help yesterday. Thank you," he appreciated her radiantly, and he looked so good that one would not have believed that he was in the worst state the day before.
• "It is my job," she answered as she wore her coat across her shoulders, "Has your doctor come to visit this morning?" She asked, to be sure he was doing well.
