Chapter 6 Reunion

  • When Seraphine and Carol stopped crying, Seraphine began to tell stories about what had happened to her from childhood to the present.
  • "I am very grateful to Sarah and Mara. Even though they do not know me, they have not forgotten their promise that they will not leave you and will consider you a family member. Perhaps the lord brings them in the road that night for me to meet them..."Carol states while holding her daughter's face.
  • Seraphine smiled in delight. "I'm glad that on my next birthday I'll be able to be with you. If only we could be with my father. I'm sure I won't ask for anything more because my happiness is complete," she said while staring at her mother.
  • "Don't worry; I feel safe for your father, and he's working on a way for us to see each other again," Carol assured her.
  • ............
  • Teacher Mayer gave Carol and Seraphine almost two hours to talk. And when he came out of his room, he found the two laughings.
  • "I'm glad to see you two together, but I'll be more than happy if you continue your conversation while preparing lunch," Mayer suggested as he walked into the living room to open the windows. "Or, do you want me to cook? I'm sure Seraphine can eat a lot because she likes the foods I prepare," the teacher added with a smile.
  • Seraphine immediately stood up; Teacher, don't worry, leave the cooking to us. My mother must be good at cooking too, right?" she answered quickly, pulling her mother into the kitchen.
  • "Mom, my teacher is excellent at many things, but that doesn't include cooking; he sucks!" Seraphine whispered to her mother as they started preparing food.
  • It was past twelve when they finished cooking, and now they were facing each other at the table to eat. It was the first meal Seraphine would have with her mother, so she couldn't help but cry while smiling. That is why Carol immediately grabbed her hand and gently squeezed it.
  • "Every day I come here to bring food; although we can't sleep in one house, I will see you every day. Thank you very much, teacher Mayer... You make this possible," Carol said with a smile.
  • Before dark, Carol had to return to the palace. Only now did William allow her to stay at teacher Mayer's house, as she begged the alpha to agree to her helping the teacher clean the house.
  • ..............
  • Although she could not sleep because of the joy, Seraphine still woke up early to start the training she is used to in the mountains. It was still dark. She had already started running around until she reached the hill where she had taken Samantha yesterday.
  • When Seraphine returned home, the sun was already rising. After she ran, she still had to do the activities included in her training. Just a few feet away, she could already hear her teacher's voice loud and seemingly preaching.
  • "It's good that my teacher's Mayer attention will give two people. He won't be able to focus on me like before," Seraphine smiled as she thought about the changes in her training.
  • "Good morning, teacher; I'm done running," Seraphine states as she approaches.
  • "oh, it's you!" the new student pointed at her, smiling.
  • Mayer's face darkened, "I wasn't mistaken in my suspicion yesterday. You leave the restaurant!" he exclaimed.
  • Seraphine bowed and approached the new student. That thought Teacher Mayer already knew what he meant. Even before he says her punishment, Seraphine has begun squatting, which will take some time.
  • "I'm sorry," the new student whispered to Seraphine and continued the activities her new teacher asked her to do.
  • "Nuh, this is nothing. Welcome to my class Samantha," Seraphine smiled at her new classmate, who was also the first person she had met in the village.
  • This incident started a new friendship that Seraphine will only now experience. Since she and Samantha were almost the same age, they became even closer.
  • And it was this friendship that brought fear to Carol. When she had the opportunity, she talked to her daughter about her closeness to Samantha, the only child of Alpha William.
  • "Seraphine, you know that Samantha is William's only child. Although Samantha is a good child, I'm afraid of your friendship with her," Carol couldn't hide the concern on her face.
  • "Mom, Samantha is my first friend, and she's not a bad person like her father," Seraphine defended. Although she understood her mother's point, she would not be able to renounce the friendship formed with the daughter of their mortal enemy.
  • Carol sighed, "I know Samantha is a good girl. All right, I'll let you be friends with her but promise me you won't tell her who you are and our relationship, promise me!" Carol said seriously.
  • Seraphine smiled and nodded.
  • -------
  • "Seraphine, quick, my future husband is coming to fetch me! I'm going to his castle!" Samantha said excitedly to Seraphine as she pulled towards the hill where they had become a resting place.
  • "You have a future husband? Huh, your only seventeen!" Seraphine frowned as she lay down on the grass.
  • "Haha, well, my father has been talking to him for the last two years, and finally, he agreed to be my wife!" Samantha said, shivering as she lay down next to Seraphine.
  • "I'm happy for you, but what if the mate that the Goddess destined for you comes?" Seraphine asked worriedly and looked at Samantha seriously.
  • "I'm sure; Alpha Elija is the Goddess-given mate!" full of confidence, Samantha replied while smiling broadly at her.
  • "Then I will pray to the Goddess that the alpha you dream of will be your mate," Seraphine states.
  • "Thank you because I would be delighted if Alpha Elijah is destined for me. At twenty-two, he is already leading a tribe almost as developed as ours. So my heart overflowed with joy when my father decided to choose him as my future husband." Samantha added.
  • Seraphine just smiled at Samantha's statement because when it comes to such matters, she knows nothing.
