Chapter 10 Seperation

  • That night was the last time Elijah and Seraphine met. Because the next day, the Crystal pack had to leave because of the obligations Elijah had left in his city.
  • "Alpha Elijah, as we discussed, next week we will go to your city. I hope that the gathering you will prepare for my daughter Samantha will be beautiful and extravagant," William utter with delight. They are already walking out of the mansion.
  • "You can expect the gathering I'm going to prepare to be graceful and luxurious," Elijah replied. He shook William's hand before turning to Luna Elizabeth.
  • "Be careful on your journey," Elizabeth reminded before kissing him on the cheek.
  • "We will, and thank you for taking care of my pack while we are here," Elijah replied politely.
  • Samantha, on the other hand, smiled affectionately. "Until we meet again. Next time I will introduce you to my best friend, and I will also bring her to your Tribe," she asserted.
  • "I'll look forward to meeting your friend, and thank you for your warm welcome." Samantha hugged Elijah tightly before he got into the car.
  • When Elijah's car drove away from the mansion, he started squirming impatiently in his seat.
  • "Alpha, did you forget something?" The driver asked curiously.
  • "I still have to go somewhere before we leave the city," Elijah said as he pointed the way to the place he wanted to see before going.
  • When he reached the hill, Elijah immediately saw the woman who had not left his mind and heart since he saw her. Elijah smiled as he watched the girl's small movements that brought a butterfly into his stomach.
  • Although he wanted to go down and say goodbye to her, Elijah couldn't do it. Because he decided–he wouldn't want the woman to be saddened by their inevitable separation. So, Elijah watched her from afar... When he saw the woman standing up, he quickly closed the window.
  • "Let's go," Elijah said coldly.
  • ...........
  • Meanwhile, Seraphine quickly ran to chase the car, where she saw the man the Goddess had given her.
  • "I know it's him," Seraphine whispered to herself. Although she did not see the face of the car's owner, she was sure it was the man.
  • Her mate...
  • "Wait!" She shouted.
  • But the loud voice that escaped from her throat soon became meaningless. The car kept moving fast. Although Seraphine was sprinting, it wasn't enough...her view of the car swiftly diminished, and then it completely vanished from her sight.
  • "Why? I know you can hear me, but why do you ignore me?" Seraphine whispered as she looked in the direction where the car was headed.
  • "I thought we would be okay because of what happened last night... But it looks like I'm wrong again," Seraphine wiped the tears that ran down her cheeks. She sighed and turned away, trying to control her emotions and thoughts.
  • Seraphine began walking towards her house, but true to her real feelings, her steps were cumbersome.
  • .........
  • "Seraphine! Where are you going? Did you look for your mate again?" Samantha asked laughingly.
  • "This would be the last time I look for the mate the Goddess had given me. There is no hope because he has left forever... My mate doesn't want me," Seraphine replied with sadness in her voice.
  • "Forget your mate. Only adults still believe in the bond between mates. Nowadays, most people don't follow it anyway," Samantha commented. Since her mind is intact with one goal... And that is becoming the Luna of Crystal pack.
  • "Easy for you to say because you haven't found the mate that the Goddess destined for you," Seraphine replied with a snort.
  • "True, but even if he comes, I won't choose him over Alpha Elijah!" Samantha giggled.
  • "Why? Why are there ever creatures that don't appreciate the bonds that bind our race?" Seraphine asked while looking at Samantha. Her annoyance is shown all over her face.
  • "Hmm, Me? I would also like to stay with my mate, provided by the Goddess. I also want to feel the connection that no one can separate us. But in my status as a daughter of the alpha... that is not the priority," Samantha replied.
  • "Is your happiness not a priority?" Seraphine asked again.
  • "My priority is to help my father to strengthen our pack further. Because I am a woman and weak, the only thing I can help him with is to give him a son-in-law who is good at everything," Samantha said with a smile. Then, she stood up and started stretching.
  • "By the way, I've been looking for you because I want to let you know that next week you will join me in visiting Crystal City. It is the place ruled by alpha Elijah," Samantha retorted with a broad smile on her face.
  • "Why do I have to come along?" Seraphine asked, confused.
  • Next week was also her birthday, and she wanted to celebrate it with her mother. Her aunt and grandma also told her they were going to the city to join her at the celebration.
  • "I promised Alpha Elijah that I would introduce you to him, and I have no other friends but you!" Samantha's gaze pleaded.
  • "I'm sorry, but I cannot decide on this. My Teacher will not allow me to leave," Seraphine replied. She walked over to enter the house, wishing that Samantha would finally give up on her idea.
  • "I knew that's what you were going to use as an excuse, so I've already told my father to talk to the Teacher to allow you to come with me," Samantha retorted gleefully.
  • Seraphine stopped in her tracks and quickly turned to Samantha. "I'm sure Teacher John will disagree!" she said confidently.
  • Then, Seraphine continued on her way and went to get a snack for her and Samantha.
  • Although the Teacher was not there, they did not neglect their training.
  • ........
  • It was night when Teacher Mayer came home.
  • "Seraphine, come, and I have something important to say," Teacher Mayer said indifferently.
  • "Looks like I already know what you're going to say. Is this about what Samantha said? Don't worry. I've already denied her request," Seraphine asserted with a smile on her face.
  • "About that—I already agreed." Teacher Mayer's responded.
  • Seraphine was shocked.
  • "Why? Did you forget that it's my birthday next week? Teacher, only now can I be with my mother and celebrate together. Grandma and aunt also said they would come!" Seraphine explained. She could not hold back her anger.
  • "Calm down; that's why I agreed. Carol is among those going to Crystal City," Teacher Mayer laughed.
  • "But I want to be with you all..." Seraphine whispered.
  • "Hmm, I am already working on that... I've already talked to your grandma, and I said that your birthday celebration is no longer in this city. Because you have to go to Crystal City, so before your birthday, they will travel there."Teacher Mayer said with a smile.
  • Seraphine hugged her teacher with great joy. "Thank you."
  • Although the loss of her mate saddened her, the heartbreak disappeared temporarily with the knowledge that she would be with her loved ones on her coming birthday.
  • "I wish my father could also be with us, but I have too many requests. Now I will be satisfied knowing I will be with the four most significant people in my life..."
  • "Don't grief anymore... Maybe, the Lord will hear your long prayers and give them to you this coming birthday," Teacher Mayer said.
