Chapter 13 The Identity

  • "I already rejected him," Samantha stated, but the words seemed to pierce her heart.
  • "We only meet our destined mate once in our lives. One'd be extremely lucky if the Goddess would offer a second chance. It's simply unheard of. So, please, think about it," Seraphine said, worriedly.
  • "My father will kill my mate because he won't even allow destiny to ruin his plan," Samantha's sad remarks. She looked at Seraphine and smiled sadly.
  • "Do you know the feeling of being rejected? It hurts so much... Your heart wanted to explode," Seraphine utter. She remembered her own mate. Although he did not reject her, she was still hurt by his disregard for her.
  • "You know how my mother think. She accept that her only child was a girl. So, from the moment I was in her womb, she didn't like me anymore," Samara explained.
  • "Samara, mothers have different ways of showing their love. You are still lucky because she took care of you and raised you," Luna tried to comfort her friend. But deep down, she sighed at the thought that she was separated from her family because they loved her so much.
  • They had chosen to stay away for her safety.
  • "Let's change the topic. It's better that you stay in my room..." Samara said.
  • "Why? I'm okay here. And the guard says we can't go to the palace itself. " Luna said.
  • "Because of my search in your place, I got lost, and I found my mate," Samara said, pouting.
  • "You can order the guards, so you don't have to come here." Luna declared.
  • "Okay...then, join me in the palace garden. I got there earlier when I got lost," Samara said.
  • She grabbed Luna and pulled her towards the place she admired.
  • The two happily went to where Samara said was a garden, and Luna's reaction to the place was like hers. Her admiration of the flowers was reflected on her face.
  • Smiling, Luna turned to Samara, who was also busy looking at and touching the flowers.
  • "Hey! This place is restricted! Only the prince can go here!"
  • Luna and Samara immediately straightened up because of the angry voice. They looked at the five guards approaching them.
  • "I'm sorry, we don't know. We're from the Fenrir tribe, and we're guests of the prince," Samara smiled as she explained.
  • "We don't care where you come from!" The guard said.
  • "For your information, she is the princess of Fenrir, and she will also be the Luna of your Tribe!" Luna exclaimed. She no longer liked the way the guards were talking to them.
  • "Are you kidding? Just look at what you're saying, princess! Our prince is superior to all the Alphas his own age. Whereas this woman is just ordinary!" The guard stated.
  • They looked at Samara sarcastically.
  • Samara seemed embarrassed and tugged Luna by the hand.
  • "We'd better leave," Samara whispered.
  • "No! I won't let them insult you!" Luna said emphatically.
  • Luna removed Samara's hand that was holding her and approached the five guards.
  • "What courage to insult the princess! While your rank in your pack is at the lowest!" Luna said.
  • She would not normally dare to insult them, but in her utmost annoyance, she could not restrain himself.
  • "Talk about courage! Even though we're at the bottom of our pack, we're still better than you!" The five guards turned to Luna to arrest her.
  • Luna grabbed the hand of the two who tried to hold her, and she immediately released a series of kicks.
  • "You have no right to touch me!" Luna said.
  • Luna's resurgence was stopped when she heard loud laughter coming from one side of the garden.
  • "It's fun to watch a woman fight," Felix said. When the Fenrir princess fled, he never left the garden and just stayed behind to drink, so he had witnessed the entire incident.
  • "Beta," the guard addressed Felix. They bowed and paid homage to the second in command of the pack.
  • "You can leave now. I'll take care of it," Felix said.
  • He approached Luna.
  • "You? Which pack do you belong to?" Felix asked Luna.
  • "I don't have an affiliated pack," Luna replied.
  • Luna had no intention of talking to him, so she turned around and went to Samara, who was stunned while staring at Felix.
  • "Princess, this girl is a true Alpha. I feel the same energy from her-the energy that the prince possesses," Felix said.
  • "If this woman is a member of the Fenrir Tribe, it could only mean one thing, that you are not the Luna of your Tribe. She is..." Felix stated.
  • He stared at his mate, who seemed confused by what he was saying.
  • "As I said earlier, I'm not a member of the Fenrir Tribe. Samara is the Luna of their Tribe," Luna said.
  • She smiled at Samara and quickly pulled her away from the garden.
  • "Samara, you can't fool the prince. And when he finally rejects you for who you really are, I will just be waiting for you," Felix declared after them.
  • "Is he your mate?" Luna asked. She could no longer restrain herself from asking Samara, who was still silent because of what Felix said.
  • "Luna, am I that weak, and he immediately said I'm not a real Luna?" Samara asked.
  • She stopped walking and faced Luna.
  • Luna sighed and held Samara's hand.
  • "You're the only child of the strongest Alpha. Don't think about what he said; trust yourself. Sometimes our abilities only come out at the most unexpected moments," Luna said.
  • Samara sighed and continued walking. When they reached a hallway, they parted.
  • Samara returned to her room while Luna walked back to the servant's area.
  • Luna still wondered how Samara's mate found out about her strength. What she showed earlier was not her true potential, as she did not even use the power of her hands.
  • She was in that state of mind when she saw a man walking.
  • Even from afar, she knew him.
  • "It's him!"
  • Luna walked quickly while not taking her eyes off the man towards the forest. She could see only the back, but she did not hesitate.
  • Her heart raced... every time her mate was near, it beat like a drum, faster and faster...
  • Although she did not know what was in the forest, she did not wait to find out. Her walk became a run as she lost sight of the man she had been longing to see for days.
