• “Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss.”
• Johanna and another girl from St. Patrick’s both knelt at the center of the circle awkwardly trying to get closer to kiss. Some idiot had decided that the rule of the game was that the two people on whom the top and bottom of the bottle landed would have to kiss for 2 minutes and Charlie gladly offered to be the timekeeper. Jackson had produced a phone from his bag which he kept in Annabel’s room and gave it to her.
• Johanna and the other girl kissed and Charlie started the count down. The noise we made as we joined Charlie in counting down drowned the noise of the party going on out. The bottle of whiskey was passed around as were cans and cans of beer.
