• Jayne and I arrive back at our hotel. I can't believe how much fun we had tonight. I am worried about Jayne’s friend coming to talk to us. I am concerned about Mr. Craig. I have a terrible feeling about Lila. I hope Jayne's friend will be able to help him. I am not sure why I am so worried about him; maybe I should not be concerned. Perhaps I should worry about myself instead of Craig. I cannot be that way, and he did save me after all. I owe him.
• "Jayne, is that your friend over there at the bar?" I ask. I point to the man standing in the hotel bar. He is a handsome vampire. Most of the vampires are attractive, but he is beautiful, like Mr. Craig. He does not look as strange looking as he did earlier. Earlier, he gave me the creeps and seemed to be eyeballing me, but now he is intriguing.
