Chapter 12 Rising With A New Identity
- I am holding my sister's hand in the ambulance, crying because I could not protect her. While I lay my head on her stomach, I beg the moon goddess to heal her. I sit up straight again. A paramedic is sitting on the other side of my sister in the back of the ambulance, checking her vitals while I am with her. I am staring out of the back window. There are several SUVs following us.
- We are taking a very long time to get to the pack hospital. This is very worrying to me as I do not want to lose my little sister to death. When I was a child, I would complain when my mother made me change her poopie diaper, but now I would enjoy changing a poopie diaper compared to losing her.
- The doors of the ambulance open, and the ambulance comes to a halt. Two of the EMTs are carrying the gurney containing my sister out of the ambulance and rushing her into an emergency room.
