Chapter 28

• I walked majestically into the pack that I would soon become their Luna, Silver Moon Pack's territory. My steps were carefully calculated and monitored to ensure that I achieved my goals. As I made my way back to the pack, I could feel the eyes of most members of the pack on me, some of the stars were out of curiosity, while others were suspicious. All that didn’t matter or bother me. Let them continue to watch. Soon, they would all have no choice but to be on my side. After all, I wasn't a bad influence, but positive energy to protect their pack.
• The sun was already setting by the time I reached the chambers of the Alpha. I kept my face fresh with smiles, my teeth shining without dirt, but still, to make my story more believable, I had to improve my acting. I let my eyes downcast, trying hard to play the vulnerable part of the transformed and remorseful woman. But right inside, different types of thoughts were already going on. My imagination went wide as I meticulously arranged how everything would unfold. I was prepared for Jaxon, even the Pack, and sooner, they would all fall into my trap.
• Jaxon wasn't in his chambers by the time I got to the pack; deciding where else he could be if not the training ground, I made my way towards that direction. On getting to that place, I saw Jaxon, and he was as handsome as he had always been, basking in radiating glory. I watched them train with other warriors, and his presence commanded respect as usual. This was usual of them; the warriors don't train by this time of the week; they seem to be preparing for war, but with which pack? My heart melted on seeing him, he was everything I wanted and more, and I would do everything possible to make him mine.
