- The sun barely peeks through the trees as I stand near the edge of the forest, arms crossed, waiting for the others to assemble. The crisp air bites at my skin, reminding me that winter is closing in fast. It's the weekend, and I'm so relieved that I don't have to go to school. I really can't wait to be done in fact. My eyes flicker to Ethan who’s leaning against a tree, stretching his legs and looking far too calm for someone who has no idea what he’s about to get himself into.
- He catches me watching and smirks. “Don’t worry about me, Bertha. I’ll keep up.”
