• “Bravo!” I heard Imelda’s voice. She was clapping her hands in mockery as she stepped into the room where I was lying on the bed, shivering.
• Ignoring her, I turned my face away, and she bent over to me and grabbed my hand. Her grip was so tight, so I winced in pain, struggling to break free from her tight grip.
• “How does it feel being loathed by the alpha? To think that you actually had feelings for Kyle before now. Poor you! I’m sure you have realized how much Kyle hates you. The earlier you stopped the dreaming of leaving this place the better for you.” She spoke in between gritted teeth.
