• I didn’t rush to set up a meeting with Ferrero. I had a plan, sure, but getting things to actually play out the way I wanted would take real prep work.
• These days Ferrero’s been leaning on Burns’s connections, going all-out hunting the crew that kidnapped Kalista and Langdon. No results so far. With time dragging on, he’s bound to get darker and meaner. And he’s not an easy man to play to begin with. If I wanted to use him, I needed a tighter setup.
