Chapter 1

  • 【Jason POV】
  • “Lowly omega, this is your final warning! Get the hell out of Nuremberg Lycan Noble Academy right now, or you’re as good as dead!”
  • In the abandoned gym that reeked of rust and rot, Helena, the alpha daughter of the Storm Pack, spat out the order with pure contempt. She even pressed her bloodstained leather boot onto my head.
  • I knelt there, battered and bruised, my blood pooling on the floor and reflecting the faces of Helena’s twelve noble friends. They circled me like hyenas, ready to tear me apart at any moment.
  • “I’m not leaving!”
  • I shoved her foot off my head with all the strength I had left and lifted my chin. “I got in here on merit, through special admission. The Empire is civilized now, and I’ll use my knowledge to become someone this Empire actually needs.”
  • “Merit?”
  • Helena turned to her packmates, laughing like she had just heard the most ridiculous joke in the world. “Did you hear that? This mangy, crippled wolf trash is talking about merit.”
  • They all burst into laughter.
  • Helena suddenly shoved me hard, sending me sliding backward.
  • “The glory of the Voss Empire is built on our noble blood and raw strength, not your pathetic grades or your ridiculous knowledge.”
  • She stomped on my chest and towered over me as she declared, “A crippled mutt who can’t even fully shift has no right to be in the same school or breathe the same air as us.”
  • Every word she spoke felt like a nail hammered straight into my bones.
  • My wolf, Fenrir, was born with a defect. Growing up in the Iron Fang Pack meant endless mockery from my brothers, cold shoulders from my parents, and scornful looks from the clan.
  • Even though the Voss Empire had passed the Werewolf Fairness Code long ago—banning discrimination against omegas and telling us we did not have to kneel before nobles anymore—nothing truly changed.
  • I threw myself into my studies. I poured every ounce of effort into getting special admission here so I could finally hold my head high, prove that knowledge could change my fate, and maybe even make my family proud.
  • Yet here I was, crushed again. Crushed by class. Always class.
  • Fists rained down on me like hail. I curled up to protect my vital spots, but the pain still cut through me like knives.
  • “Face it, Jason. You’re just a low-class omega.”
  • “Jason, this is all you’ll ever be. This is your destiny.”
  • All those cold stares and sneers mixed with Helena’s curses. They crashed into me all at once. The past I thought I had escaped dragged me back into the abyss, pulling my mind deeper and deeper.
  • No. I refuse to give in.
  • I bit down hard on my tongue, forcing myself to stay awake.
  • I have a reason to hold on—Lucia.
  • The girl who found me alone, licking my wounds in the empty library. The girl who bandaged me up and encouraged me.
  • She came from a noble beta family, yet she never looked down on me. Instead, she told me softly, “Jason, you’re not worthless. You have a heart as kind as the moon goddess.”
  • After every beating, she brought me medicine and helped me seek support.
  • She ignored the disgusted looks from others, wrapped me in a warm hug, and said, “Jason, you’re strong. You deserve to be loved.”
  • Lucia is the light in my life.
  • Thinking of her in this darkest moment gave me strength again.
  • Smack—
  • I reached out and grabbed Helena’s ankle.
  • My muscles trembled as I stopped her foot mid-air.
  • “My dignity…”
  • I clenched my teeth, my voice and my eyes full of stubborn fire. “You’ll never take it from me.”
  • “Dying for it, huh?”
  • Helena’s face twisted with rage.
  • Then suddenly…
  • “Stop!”
  • A heart-wrenching scream echoed through the gym.
  • I lifted my head, and a ray of sunlight caught Lucia’s golden hair, making her look like an angel sent to save me.
  • “Jason!”
  • Lucia choked on her words as she rushed toward me and pulled me into a tight hug. “I’m sorry I’m late.”
  • “Let’s go.” I croaked, pushing her slightly.
  • “No. I’m never leaving you.”
  • Wiping the tears off her face, Lucia glared at Helena with fierce anger.
  • But Helena spat back, “Traitor.”
  • She grabbed Lucia by the hair and slammed her to the ground. “You come from a noble beta family, yet you choose this omega filth who reeks of dirt. You’ve tainted noble blood. You’re a disgrace to your class.”
  • Blood trickled from Lucia’s mouth, but she did not flinch. “This is none of your business. Jason’s character is nobler than all of you.”
  • Helena’s cheek twitched. “Still don’t get it? You’re now the enemy of our noble family. You like this loser, huh? Then go to hell with him.”
  • She snatched a rusty iron rod off the floor and swung it straight at Lucia’s head.
  • “Lucia!”
  • I screamed and rushed forward.
  • Kenny—Helena’s most loyal thug—leaped out and slammed me back down with a vicious kick. Three other male werewolves joined him and pinned me to the floor.
  • “You worthless piece of trash, listen up. Scum like you and your little gang are nothing but toys for us to tear apart.”
  • Kenny spat the words like poison, and the eight female werewolves swarmed forward, launching a brutal assault on Lucia.
  • “Jason… Jason…”
  • Lucia rolled on the floor like a discarded rag doll, her voice fading with every second. The sound stabbed through my chest like a blade.
  • The only light in my life was about to go out.
  • Power! I needed power to protect Lucia.
  • My teeth clenched so hard they almost cracked. Veins bulged along my arms and legs. My willpower stretched to its absolute limit.
  • Then…
  • Pfft—
  • A faint pop echoed in my chest, as if some hidden seal inside me had broken open.
  • A wild and ancient force surged through me, awakening without warning.
  • A ripping pain tore through my heart, burning like molten lava. The heat spread through every vein and artery. My blood boiled. My bones, muscles, and tendons ripped apart inch by inch.
  • In that blazing agony, my wolf Fenrir exploded from weak to fierce, filling every cell with violent strength.
  • “Ha!”
  • I let out a savage roar and tore free from their grip.
  • Kenny and the others stared at me, their eyes wide with horror, as a dark golden light flickered in mine. My muscles bulged and burst through my skin, steel-hard wolf fur erupting across my body. In seconds, I transformed into a massive, ferocious gray wolf.
  • “No. This isn’t possible. You’re just a low-level omega. How can you fully transform?”
  • Kenny stumbled backward, shaking.
  • “Get the hell out of my way.”
  • I snarled and swung my head upward. My blow sent the three male werewolves flying as if struck by a speeding truck.
  • Pushing off with my hind legs, I lunged at Kenny and knocked him to the floor. Without hesitation, I bit down hard.
  • “Ah!”
  • My razor-sharp teeth pierced through Kenny’s face like steel spikes. His screams tore through the air as his body convulsed.
  • “Kenny! Why the hell are you screa—”
  • Helena turned around, but her voice cut off instantly.
  • “How is this possible?”
  • She stared at me—this massive gray wolf with dark golden pupils burning with a rage deeper than any ocean. Her proud noble expression shattered, replaced by trembling fear.
  • “You hurt what I love. Die!!!”
  • The floor shook beneath me as I charged forward like a wild beast unleashed.
