Chapter 1

  • 【Jason POV】
  • “Lowly omega, this is your final warning! Get the hell out of Nuremberg Werewolf Noble Academy right now, or you’re as good as dead!”
  • In the abandoned gym reeking of rust and rot, Helena—the alpha daughter of the Storm Pack—pressed her bloodstained leather boot down on my head and spat out the order with pure contempt.
  • I knelt there, battered and bruised, my blood pooling on the floor reflecting the faces of Helena’s twelve noble friends. They circled me like hyenas, ready to tear me apart at any moment.
  • “I’m not leaving!”
  • I shoved her foot off my head with all my might and lifted my chin. “I got in here on merit, through special admission! The Empire’s civilized now, and I’m gonna use my knowledge to become someone this Empire actually needs!”
  • “Merit?”
  • Helena turned to her packmates, laughing like she’d just heard the dumbest joke ever. “Did you hear that? This mangy, crippled wolf trash actually dares to talk about merit!”
  • They all burst out laughing.
  • Helena suddenly shoved me hard, sending me sliding backward.
  • “The glory of the Voss Empire is built on our noble blood and raw power—not your pathetic grades and your ridiculous so-called knowledge!”
  • She stomped on my chest, towering over me as she declared, “A crippled mutt who can’t even fully shift has no right to be in the same school, breathing the same air as us!”
  • Every word she spat felt like a nail hammered straight into my bones.
  • My wolf Fenrir was born with a defect, and growing up in the Iron Fang Pack meant endless mockery from my brothers, cold shoulders from my parents, and scornful looks from the clan…
  • Even though the Voss Empire had long passed the “Werewolf Fairness Code,” banning discrimination against omegas and telling us we didn’t have to kneel before nobles anymore, nothing really changed.
  • I threw myself into my studies, pouring every ounce of effort into getting special admission here, just so I could hold my head high, prove that knowledge could change my fate, and maybe even make my family proud.
  • But here I was, getting crushed even harder—by class. Still class.
  • Fists rained down on me like hail. I curled up, protecting my vital spots, but the pain still cut through me like knives.
  • “Face it, Jason. You’re just a low-class omega.”
  • “Jason, this is all you can accept. This is your destiny.”
  • All those cold stares and sneers, mixed with Helena’s curses—they all came crashing back. The past I thought I’d escaped dragged me down into the abyss again, pulling my mind deeper and deeper.
  • No! I refuse to give in!
  • I bit down hard on my tongue, forcing myself to stay awake.
  • I have a reason to hold on—Lucia!
  • That girl who found me licking my wounds alone in the empty library, who bandaged me up and gently encouraged me.
  • She came from a noble beta family but never looked down on me. Instead, she told me softly, “Jason, you’re not worthless. You have a heart as kind as the moon goddess.”
  • After I got bullied, she’d bring me medicine and help me ask for help.
  • She’d ignore the disgusted looks from others, wrap me in a warm hug, and say, “Jason, you’re strong. You deserve to be loved.”
  • Lucia is the light in my life!
  • In this darkest moment, thinking of her gave me strength again.
  • Smack!
  • I reached out and grabbed Helena’s ankle.
  • My muscles trembled as I stopped her foot mid-air.
  • “My dignity…”
  • I clenched my teeth, my voice and fierce eyes screaming that I wouldn’t back down: “You’ll never take it from me!”
  • “Dying for it, huh?!”
  • Helena’s face twisted with madness.
  • Then suddenly…
  • “Stop!!!”
  • A heart-wrenching scream echoed through the gym.
  • I turned my head, and a ray of sunlight caught Lucia’s golden hair, making her look like a holy angel sent to save me.
  • “Jason!”
  • Lucia choked on her words, pulling me into a tight hug. “Sorry I’m late!”
  • “Let’s go.”
  • I croaked, pushing her away.
  • “No! I’m never leaving you!”
  • Wiping tears from her face, Lucia shouted at Helena with fierce anger.
  • But Helena spat back, “Traitor!”
  • She grabbed Lucia by the hair and slammed her to the ground. “You come from a noble beta family, yet you’re with this omega trash who reeks of dirt. You’ve tainted noble blood—you’re a disgrace to your class!”
  • Blood trickled from Lucia’s mouth, but she didn’t flinch. “This is none of your business! Jason’s character is nobler than all of you!”
  • Helena’s cheek twitched uncontrollably. “Still not getting it? Now you’re the enemy of our noble family! You like this loser, huh? Then go to hell with him!”
  • She snatched a rusty iron rod off the ground and swung it hard at Lucia’s head.
  • “Lucia!”
  • I screamed, lunging to help her.
  • Kenny—Helena’s most loyal thug—jumped out and slammed me back down with a kick. Along with three other male werewolves, they pinned me to the ground hard.
  • “You worthless piece of trash, listen up! Scum like you and your little gang? You’re nothing but playthings for us to tear apart!”
  • Kenny spat out his venomous words, and the other eight female werewolves swarmed forward, launching a brutal attack on Lucia.
  • “Jason… Jason…”
  • Lucia rolled on the ground like a rag doll, her voice getting weaker and weaker. It stabbed through my heart like a knife.
  • The only light in my life was about to go out.
  • Power! I needed the strength to protect Lucia!
  • My teeth clenched so hard they nearly shattered. Veins bulged on my arms and legs. When willpower hits its breaking point…
  • “Pfft!”
  • A muffled pop came from my chest, like some seal I didn’t even know about just broke open.
  • A wild, ancient force I couldn’t understand suddenly burst awake inside me.
  • A ripping pain exploded from my heart, lava-hot, spreading through every vein and artery. My blood boiled. Bones, muscles, and tendons tore apart inch by inch.
  • In this burning agony of life on the edge, my wolf Fenrir surged from weak to fierce and powerful. Every cell in my body filled with unmatched strength.
  • “Ha!”
  • I let out a savage roar and broke free from their grip.
  • Kenny and the others stared in shock as a dark golden light flickered in my eyes. My muscles tore through my skin, steel-sharp wolf fur bursting out. In an instant, I transformed into a massive, ferocious gray wolf.
  • “No! This can’t be! You’re just a low-level omega! How can you fully transform!?”
  • Kenny shouted, stumbling back a step.
  • “Get the hell out of my way!”
  • I snarled, swinging my wolf head in a brutal swipe. The three male werewolves flew back like they’d been hit by a truck.
  • Pushing off with my hind legs, I leapt forward and knocked Kenny down. Without a second thought, I bit down hard.
  • “Ah!!!”
  • My razor-sharp wolf teeth pierced through Kenny’s face like steel spikes. His scream tore through the air, body convulsing wildly.
  • “Kenny! What the hell are you screa—”
  • Helena whipped around, but her voice choked off like someone had grabbed her throat.
  • “How is this possible!?”
  • She stared at me—a massive gray wolf with dark golden vertical pupils burning with a rage no ocean could drown. Her proud noble mask shattered instantly, replaced by trembling fear.
  • “You hurt what I love? Die!!!”
  • The floor shook beneath me as I charged forward like a wild beast unleashed.
