Chapter 49

• It was already afternoon when Morvienne decided to bring Kael lunch. He had chosen to work from the home office today, and she felt he might want to skip lunch because he's probably buried in work, so, she reheated the food, arranged it neatly on a tray, and added a glass of juice beside it.
• Holding the tray with both hands, she made her way to his office which was also located downstairs for easy access, and for where pack matters can be discussed and other important things.
• As she reached the door, she opened her mouth to call out to him since her hands were full, but she stopped and focused.
