- The night seemed to have stretched for hours. The pain that began by tearing my chest was gradually replaced by a strange feeling of numbness. Maybe it was the alcohol or simply the fact that I was away from Dante, away from all the places that made me think of him. Being there, with Natália and the others, gave me a small, even if temporary, relief.
- Music was playing in the background, and the laughter and voices around the bonfire blended into an indistinct sound. I moved through the space, feeling the lightness of my body, almost as if I were floating. Natália, as always, was the center of attention. She danced, twirling with the bottle in her hand, her loose hair shining under the faint light.
