  • From the moment I let those words slip out to Olivia, I knew things would never be the same. When I said I loved her, I didn't think about the consequences. I just let what I felt overflow. I thought she deserved to know, that somehow, it would bring us even closer. But all I saw was fear. Fear in her eyes, followed by a distance that slowly shattered me.

I stayed there, alone, in the silence, waiting for her to come back, to tell me she felt the same way. But the days passed and all we got were short, empty exchanges of words, as if none of it had happened.
