• As Kamila and I walked toward the dean’s office, my heart pounded in my chest. I tried to stay calm, but the mere thought of facing Dante on the other side of that door made it nearly impossible. Ana, the woman training us, noticed the tension between us and offered a reassuring smile.
• "Don’t worry, girls," she said kindly. "The new dean is a longtime friend and well-known around campus. Everyone knows he’s a calm and easygoing boss, so there’s no reason to be nervous."
