Chapter 310 The Preacher's Son (1)
- I grew up in the 1960's on a little farm outside the small town of Dozier, Alabama... a tiny rural community tucked away in the eastern part of the state... nearly an hour and half east of Montgomery.
- We didn't have much of a farm... just two cows and a few chickens... so my father had a regular job working at the grain processing plant about forty minutes away in Goshen, which left my mother and me to do what was needed around the house and barn... mostly just feed the animals, milk the cows, and gather eggs from the chicken coop every day.
- It was a relatively meager and isolated existence for the most part... our closest neighbor was over half a mile away... so I grew up rather introverted and shy, with very limited socializing opportunities outside of church and school.
