Chapter 84
- Dallas’s POV
- The first thing I felt when I woke was pain—raw, relentless, a fire that seared through every nerve. My instinct was to cry out, but my body refused to obey. Every movement sent a shock of agony through me, and I had to grit my teeth, hold my fangs back. How long would this last? Hours? Days? Nights that stretched endlessly, gnawing at my mind, threatening to shatter it.
- I opened my eyes, searching the sterile chamber around me. My children—I wanted to see them, to feel their warmth. But the room was empty. A dry laugh escaped me, bitter and incredulous. Was I losing my mind? Wolves don’t hallucinate children calling them “Mommy,” and yet… the voices lingered in my ears, bright and vivid as if real.
