Chapter 4 The boss

• Beatrix's POV
• It's been three days since we saw each other. That day, I am planning to stay because I don't want to be disrespectful to Levi and to Jane but then when I went to the restroom, Ms. Adele called me that Gia, my daughter is crying non-stop so I have to go.
• When I entered the restaurant I could feel the tension rising inside because of the conversation of other employees about the arrival of the owner of Pinky swear restaurant. I don’t know why its owner named it that way. I also heard before that the owner of the restaurant doesn’t show up on purpose because he's in another country and only our manager knows what this person looks like. 
• “Guys, get ready. He's already here. ” I quickly wiped my hand because of what Ma’am Kat had told us. I was assigned to the back of the house, in other words to the kitchen. I'm in charge of make-up and I'm with Lisa, we take care of cakes, pizza, vegetable salad but sometimes I'm also in front when we're short of people. Sometimes I'm a food server or maybe a make-up girl.
• "You took too long, girl." 
• I tapped Lisa on the shoulder, "sorry." I just noticed that Klea isn't here yet, it looks like that woman is late again. Fortunately, our manager was kind.
• I heard a bell chime, a signal that the owner of the restaurant had entered, and we immediately greeted him. We remained bent over, I don't know why my heart was beating so fast when I felt like he was looking at me. To be sure, I turned to look and my eyes almost widened when I saw the face of the man I once drove crazy and still love to this day.
• I could see that it was also surprising but you quickly disappeared and he rolled his eyes all over the restaurant. I just looked up again and saw Lisa's teasing look at me but I ignored that father.
• "How's it going?" I ignored the butterflies I felt in my stomach when I heard her voice. The first day we met I didn't pay attention to how he looked because I wanted to avoid him because I knew he didn't want to see me.
• “It’s doing good, sir. The restaurant market continues to rise. These are our employees. ” Our manager pointed us out. “This is Justin, Fifth,…” Our manager didn't finish what he was going to say when we heard the sound of the bell chime.
• Klea spat on my forehead as if out of breath. He seemed surprised all the attention was on him. As far as I know, Gio doesn't want to be late for work so I'm sure this woman is good.
• “What's the”
• “You're fired!” Everyone was shocked because of what Gio said out loud. Even me was shocked as well. Gio looked at the manager and said, "how many times do I have to tell you that I don't want a fucking irresponsible employee." I looked at Klea and saw the shock on her face.
• “Sir, I’m sorry ..”
• “Shut the fuck up! Fired her or else both of you will leave my restaurant! ” I saw Klea approach Giovanni even though I told her not to.
• “Sir, I’m sorry if I am late… it's just that ..”
• “Leave my establishment! I can drag you out if— “Giovanni was stunned when the restaurant door opened and I sighed with relief when I saw Kai walking towards Giovanni.
• “Easy, dude. She's my girl. Don't be too harsh to the girl of your brother. ” I saw Klea's evil look at Kai but she remained silent because she knew that only Kai could save her. "She's with me."
• “What the fuck are you doing to my restaurant ?!” I just gasped because he still hasn't changed. I mean he used to be kind but since my brother left him everything has changed, his way of speaking has changed.
• “Easy. Let this slide. I'm sure you will be thankful to me when you know that you're glad that you didn't fire her. ” I suddenly avoided looking in Kai's direction as if to indicate something.
• “Fine. Get your ass out now! ”
• "Bye, baby."
• I smiled when Klea didn't fight when she kissed Kai on the cheek because it was because of Kai that she was no longer at work. I arranged for Giovanni to start speaking while Klea stood next to me.
• “I am Giovanni Castillo. The owner of this pinky swears restaurant and the CEO of the GC Corporation. I don't want to have an irresponsible employee in my establishment because once the small things are ruined then it will affect my other business and I will not let that happen. I want everyone to focus on their work because the customer's first impression will be based on your personality and I don't want them to give negative feedback. ” He then looked to our manager, “if things went wrong just like what happened earlier, fire them before they destroy my business or else you will be the one who needs to leave if everything went wrong. Understood? ”
• Our manager was frightened, "y-yes sir."
• "Let's take the tour and see how you work."
• "Yes, sir." Our manager looked at us and said, "go back to work and we'll go to all of your stations."
• Lisa and Klea immediately pulled me towards the kitchen where the rest of our colleagues were. We went to the make-up station while Klea went to the beverage station because she was assigned there.
• "Girl, I didn't think your ex-husband behaved like that," Klea said when I went to their station to pick up the rag he took from our station.
• "As far as I remember, you said to me that you will beat him to death." He smirked before scolding me.
• "I look like I'm going to die."
• I just shook my head, "I'm going back there." He nodded at me so I went back. Later on I saw our manager enter the kitchen but I ignored that at first because I saw something on the screen here in the kitchen with an order of HD pizza.
• I went to the chiller and took the dough there before returning to the table before starting to make the Hawaiian Delight pizza.
• “Good morning sir. This is the make-up station. This is where we make our pizzas and pastries like cakes and cupcakes. ” I noticed that Lisa approached over there with our bag of pizza ingredients. “This is where the ingredients needed to prepare the pizza are put. That is the chiller. All tupperware has an expiration date label with our stock of ingredients. ”
• I did not hear Gio speak but I continued what I was doing even though my knee was weakening due to his presence.
• "What are you doing?"
• "Excuse me, sir?" I heard Lisa's confused promise. At least I was confused as to why he suddenly asked while Lisa's explanation was good.
• “Not you. What are you doing? ” Now I was stunned because I knew I was the one she was referring to because Lisa and I were the only two at the make-up station.
• “Sir, she is Beatrix, one of our best employees here. Beatrix, introduce yourself. ” I slowly turned around but I didn't try to look him in the eye but I went.
• “Good morning sir, I am Beatrix Sanchez, one of the person who is assigned to—“
• He hissed, “no need. I'm paying more attention to important things. I don't have time for this nonsense introduction. What are you doing? ” I just nodded at him looking surprised. If then every time he scolded me I would tease him and repeat the explanation but now it's different. I am an employee and he is my boss. What does he expect? Does he expect me to answer him and tease him?
• "I-I'm making..a pizza, sir." I tried not to stutter but it still happened so I just gasped. I will admit that he still affects me to this day. My heart is beating faster until now but it's true that those years that I martyred him while he loved were different.
• “Stupid, what kind of pizza. Don't make myself a fool. ”
• "I am making a Hawaiian Delight pizza sir."
• "Your time is running out." I looked at the monitor and saw that I was late for pizza.
• "Of course, you even talked to me." I mumbled and I heard him sneering.
• "What did you say?" Even when the strength of his hearing is real. I shook my head before speaking.
• “Nothing, sir. Permission to go back to work, sir. ”
• "Tch, stupid as before." Even though it was painful, I didn't just focus on what he said but I went back to making pizza and hurried to make it because it was past the minute allotted .
