Chapter 98

  • PERLAH'S POV:
  • The hours crawled by with agonizing slowness, each second stretching into an eternity. The chaos outside showed no sign of dying down, in fact, it was getting worse. The reporters had multiplied, their relentless shouting echoing through the walls like a never-ending storm. Every so often, the crash of glass breaking or the dull thud of something heavy hitting the building sent jolts of panic through me.
