- I felt a mixture of fear and anger seeing Perlah in the hands of Datu. Frightened because the sight of a gun being pointed at her head sent shivers down my spine and angry because I had specifically warned her to stay in the heavily guarded house I desperately prepared, but she had flouted my orders, resulting in her being held captive in Datu’s hand.
- "Let her go," I demanded while advancing towards them slowly.
