Chapter 38
- RODRIGO’S POV
- I flipped the eggs in the pan on the fire while trying not to remember what had occurred earlier in the morning. Perlah had woken up and asked for food, so I decided to make eggs for her; she loves eggs.
- I scooped out the eggs, put them on a flat plate, and poured a glass of orange juice. I then placed the eggs on a tray and took them up to my room, where Perlah was. When I opened the door, she was sitting down in bed, her knees drawn to her chest, and her hair fell across her face.
