Chapter 29
- I felt a light taping on my face that was beginning to irritate me. I raised my hand to swat whatever it was away. Someone caught my hand and held it tight.
- “Merilee, wake up.” It was my dad. What did he want?
- “Daddy, what is it?” I opened my eyes to look at him. He looked relieved. I was on the couch and he was looking down at me holding something cold to my head. Did I fall asleep or pass out again?
