• We reach a split in the hallway and bear left as Eve described. The sounds of the footsteps increase, echoing louder and louder in my ears. Eve and I continue to run as fast as we can on the carpeted floor, our guns held tightly in our hands and I pray to whoever is listening that I never have to use it.
• "Almost there!" Eve whispers urgently. "Left!" We reach the end of the hall and take a sharp left turn as we pass expensive looking paintings and murals. As I run by, a specific one catches my eye in a quick flash and its familiarity sticks with me as I run by, my thoughts back on our task at hand.
