Chapter 21 Lost Her Again

• I don't say anything else. I drop her shoulders and Vanessa falls to the ground, her knees hitting the dirt, before she falls and covers her face with her hands, seemingly starting to sob. I have no time to hear what she's saying because I begin to run.
• Full speed I sprint, through the garden, into the fountain to take the shorter path, and finally into the palace where guards are running towards the suite Annie and I share. Nobles run and scream as the get out of the way. I pass the guards, yelling and screaming for everyone to get out of my path.
