• Watching Dani gather her belongings formed a lump in my throat. I was going to miss her so damn much. I didn't plan to stay back, but I had nothing to do in LA. Dani hadn't left yet, but I felt so lonely.
• "What's wrong, Mimi?" She laughed, teasing me. "I know you're going to miss me. I'll miss you too, but you're damn stubborn and I don't understand why you have refused to come back with me. We can rent a bigger apartment."
