Chapter 25 Echoes Of The Past
- Within this misty veil of dawn, clinging to the floor of the forest, the Wildwood Pack labored in the wake, of rebuilding that which was their home. Of course, the victory and more solid alliances made them feel the hope again, but the battle scars did not wipe away. The air was filled with the cautious optimism of the pack: a willingness to work tirelessly at rebuilding their home in preparation for what lay ahead—no matter what that might be.
- Iris walked through the camp, her eyes moving over the activity bustling around her. Work was hard but there was no wavering in the determination of the pack members. The young wolves, who had so readily volunteered to help, were turning out to be quite invaluable. Their enthusiasm and energy became a welcome relief from the exhaustion etched across the faces of the older warriors.
- Upon nearing the central meeting place, Iris found Erin there, deeply in some discussion with Ryker and Kael. The three leaders had been working hard all week to make sure all their work stayed together and their forces were one, ready for what happened.
