• All of a sudden, the entire school quieted down, as though even the air was frozen.
• Everyone stared at Evangeline, flabbergasted.
• They were all surprised to hear the little girl call Emmanuel “Daddy.”
• How can this child just call a stranger “Daddy?” A group of parents promptly moved their benches further away from Eleanor as though it was an embarrassment to be seen sitting close to her. “An insane woman raising an insane girl. How can she just call someone else 'Daddy?' How embarrassing!”
• The word “Daddy” instantly caused rendered the smiling Emmanuel dumbfounded.
• Disbelief filled his eyes.
• As he stared at the excited little girl, he was moved.
• He finally heard his daughter calling him “Daddy.”
• Any father would be over the moon to hear his child call him “Daddy” for the first time.
• The word “Daddy” symbolized that his life had gained a continuation, in a way, and it was the most precious gift in the world to him.
• Last time, when Rosalind brought Evangeline to the clinic, the girl refused to call him “Daddy.”
• Yet, when Evangeline saw him on the stage at that moment, she got so emotional that she called out to him.
• It would seem like, in the girl's heart, she had accepted Emmanuel as her father.
• Evangeline ignored what the people around her were saying and shouted in the direction of the stage again, “Daddy!”
• Not only that, she repeated herself multiple times, which made Emmanuel extremely excited.
• Staring at her affectionately, he pressed his fingers together to form a heart shape.
• When Evangeline saw that, she smiled brightly and copied his movements.
• That lovely scene stunned everyone around, especially the principal.
• He immediately approached Emmanuel and asked, “Is Evangeline really your daughter, Mr. Kirsch?”
• “Of course. She's my biological daughter,” Emmanuel answered and stepped toward the girl as everyone watched.
• His trench coat swayed slightly as he exuded a powerful aura, causing the parents to move aside subconsciously to make way for him.
• At that moment, it was as though Emmanuel was shining brightly like the sun.
• However, those who mocked Eleanor and Evangeline before this felt as though Emmanuel was like a huge mountain pressing them down and suffocating them.
• When he arrived in front of Evangeline, he carried her in his arms without hesitation and lowered his head to stare at Eleanor, who was sitting on the bench in a daze.
• “Follow me.” Emmanuel took Eleanor's hand and pulled her toward the stage with him.
• Despite Eleanor's struggles on the way up, she couldn't escape from Emmanuel's grip.
• He was too strong for her to resist.
• Juliet, who was standing on the stage, went pale like a ghost when she saw the family walking up.
• A humiliating and embarrassing feeling flooded her heart.
• She felt like a joke as she stood on the stage.
• Never in her wildest dream would she have expected Emmanuel to be Evangeline's father.
• Not only did the man she liked already have a child, but the mother of the child was her best friend.
• Staring at the family standing on the stage, Juliet stepped away without hesitation. What a joke I am!
• At that moment, everyone in school was focusing their attention on the family.

• They never would've imagined a successful, prominent figure like Emmanuel was Evangeline's father as well as the husband of a crazy woman who smoked and drank.
• Even Ramona was shocked. Eva has such a successful dad? I thought she was in a single-parent family. Where did her dad come from?
• With Evangeline in his arm, Emmanuel stood on the stage and introduced himself with a confident smile, “Hello everyone. Let me introduce myself. My name is Emmanuel Kirsch, and I'm Eva's father. I'm also Eleanor's husband.” The look on his face rendered him too brilliant for anyone to ignore.
• The last sentence was like a bolt of lightning striking Eleanor's head when she heard it.
• She shuddered as she instantly lifted her head and stared at him in shock. What the h*ll is this guy doing?
• However, since a lot of people were staring at her at the moment, she couldn't just deny that. Otherwise, Emmanuel and Evangeline would be embarrassed. So, she just smiled wordlessly.
• Clap! Clap! Clap!
• Thunderous applause rang out.
• “So, about my donation. I just want to say that, for many years, Eleanor raised Eva by herself, which is a fact I am very regretful of. That's why I've decided to name the new library and field I donated with my daughter's and wife's name. They shall be called Eleanor Field and Eva Library.”
• The applause resumed.
• “Time to take pictures!” Freddie yelled from downstage as he pulled out his camera.
• Snap!
• That was the first family photo that the three of them ever took together.
• Seeing that, Emmanuel quickly held Eleanor in his embrace and whispered, “All the students and teachers are here, not to mention Eva. Don't embarrass her. Remember to smile for the camera, all right?”
• As if that wasn't infuriating enough, he even grabbed her hand and placed it on his waist.
• No matter how hard she tried to resist, she couldn't pull her hand out of his grasp.
• It pissed Eleanor off so much that she decided to pinch Emmanuel as hard as she could.
• A faint hiss of pain slipped out of his lips.
• Despite the pain, he still looked at her with a smile. “Don't you think that's a little too harsh?”
• “Do you want to die?” She mouthed the words at him.
• As Eva stared at the both of them arguing with each other, she smiled ear to ear and immediately wrapped her arms around both of their shoulders.
• That prompted them to end their argument.
• To Evangeline, that was the happiest moment of her life.
• For Evangeline's sake, Eleanor could only put on a show.
• It didn't make her feel good that countless people were trying to suck up to her and her daughter after the reveal.
• It also never occurred to her that Evangeline would become the most popular kid in school.
• Similarly, she didn't have that right in the past.
• However, thanks to Emmanuel's appearance, Evangeline became the daughter of a famous figure, and she became the wife of a rich man.
• Both she and her daughter had practically become superstars in the school.
• In the past, Eleanor wanted to use her own social status to make people respect Evangeline.
• While that was very difficult for her to do, it was an easy task for Emmanuel.

• When the window was lowered, Emmanuel's cold expression was seen. He uttered icily, “Now that the parent-teacher conference is over, you should quickly finish up the eighty million order. Otherwise, I'm going to take Eva with me and leave. Did you see that earlier? Because of me, Eva was respected by everyone.”
• “What do you mean?” Eleanor roared as she pointed at him. “Do you think you're incredible just because you have money?”
• “That's right. You can do whatever you want with money. If that upsets you, feel free to earn more money.”
• “You're a big b*stard!” Eleanor pushed her scooter forward as she watched the car leave with angry tears welling in her eyes.
