• Chris hurried to pick up the phone and listened to the other side speak without making any facial expression.
• “Are you the guardian of the patient named Bella in room no 23?” A male voice spoke from other side of the phone and asked Chris, his voice somewhat calm but Chris knew what it meant when a doctor became calm and silent.
• “Yes, I am.” Chris turned his face away from Sherry and spoke in a low whisper. He was still worried about Sherry suspecting things between them.
