Chapter 29 Resting

• “We are thinking of dividing into two groups,” Jennifer replied to him calmly. She immediately briefed Maverick on their next move, making him understand their plan. Jennifer was a secretary before the apocalypse; therefore, her communication and planning skills were top-notch, which was also one of the reasons Max made her one of the leaders of the group. Moreover, she was fair and beautiful to look at. Although no one had dared to act on their desires yet, perhaps it was due to her being stronger than an ordinary human, or maybe due to the stress of the apocalypse, no one had the time to consider such things.
• “We've decided that the first group of us should roam the floors below in search of survivors, while the other group of us should lead the stronger and braver survivors to head to the upper floors and get rid of the zombies there. This will increase the floors we can roam during our time here and at the same time save any survivors we meet,” Jennifer explained calmly without pausing.
• To a normal human, the idea was very sound, as they could save survivors while making rooms for themselves to survive in. But to Maverick, the plan was very stupid and a waste of time, filled with naivety.
