Chapter 8 You Were Supposed To Be Dead

  • Chapter 8
  • "Alicia?" A voice called in a stunning tone, her hands stretching behind her. "When did you arrive in Houston? Its been good six years, we've been searching for you. I thought you were dead and gone for good."
  • Alicia stared for a while in silence before walking forth towards her father. She grasp his hands, and peered for a while, before her eyes grew violent.
  • She let go if her father's hands, standing up, in a blink, her hands cane into contact with other lady in the room cheeks.
  • Although it was Alicia who had slapped her, but to the lady it was like she was slapped by hundreds of men, the pain in her cheeks stung badly.
  • "What do you think you're doing to my father? How dare you Irene?" She asked in a thunderous tone, her voice speaking volumes.
  • Irene held onto her cheeks tightly and shivered.
  • "I don't know what you're talking about?" Irene uttered in a slur, tears gleaming in her eyes.
  • Alicia thinned her lips, and aggressively turned Irene around, jerking the needles and syringe from her hands.
  • "What us this injection for?" Alicia persisted, and Irene's glance lowered to the floor, her lips quivering.
  • "Look up! I'm taking to you!" Alicia yelled, and when Irene didn't comply, she leaped forth to grab her hairs and the door pushed open.
  • A man in his mid thirties, tousled hair, chiseled jawline, five feet tall, in a black shirt over a tailored trouser stood, with an aloof coldness emitting from his body.
  • Alicia glanced towards the direction of the door, and her heart beat rapidly with fear as the image from the night of seven years ago replayed in her head.
  • Her hands trembled, but suddenly, she felt a new surge of inexplicable emotions flooding through her.
  • The rush was mighty, hence overwhelmed her entire system, blinded by rage and vengeance, her fingers slightly loosened from Irene's hairs, and curled slightly into a fist.
  • A whimpering sound strikes through the silence which persisted in the room, followed by a frail and teary voice. "Babe, she's hurting me. I don't know what I did to her." Irene uttered, flinching away from Alicia side.
  • Irene hurried towards the man's place burying her head into his chest. "She's trying to hurt me. I caught her..."
  • Before Irene could pronounce her words, sounds of slippers sounded in the air and landed, right at Carter's mouth, a streak at the corner of his mouth.
  • He furiously lifted his gaze to behold his long time lover, and his body trembled.
  • "Alicia?" the words fell out of his mouth unknowingly.
  • How possible could she have been alive?
  • "Yes?" Alicia answered.
  • Carter trembled profusely, and looked at Irene then asked in a whisper. "Is she a clone or a ghost?"
  • Irene's jaw clenched, and her brows knitted. "How am I suppose to know? She came back today and was going to kill me. We should call on the security officers to come kick her out, she's trying to silence her father."
  • Just as Irene had uttered her words, another sounds of a heavy footsteps resonated in the room and stopped right beside Carter at the doorway.
  • Irene face lightened up a bit, but she maintained her a sad countenance and a sympathetic face.
  • "Dad, you have to call the cops. I met her here trying to inject uncle, she claimed to be Alicia, but Alicia was long dead since seven years ago, how could it be her? Is that not someone trying to act like Alicia and trying to silence uncle?" Irene shed a fake tears.
  • "Dad, she should be arrested!" Irene muttered.
  • Winchester, the father of Irene glanced from his daughter towards Alicia and his eyes squinted under his brows.
  • "Dad she even slapped me! You have to arrest her!" Irene urged.
  • Alicia pounced forward without any form of fears in her, her steps falters right in front of her uncle, and in his presence, she slapped Irene three times.
  • Slap!
  • Slap!
  • "Do you think I will let go even if your father is here? You cunning witch! How dare you try to hurt my father?" Alicia spat.
  • Irene bursted into tears and held onto her father's shirt. "Father, you have to save me from her. She's been bullying me since she got in here."
  • Winchester cleared his throat and said, "So audacious of you to dare to return here in Houston despite the crimes you committed, shame and reproach you brought towards the family." Before Alicia could utter a word, Winchester slapped her so hard.
  • "You caused my brother to be in that pathetic situation that he is right, now. And you dare to hurt him?"
  • "Dad, call the cops."
  • "The fbi are on their way coming to arrest her for the 52 billion dollars theft she committed seven years ago, and of course, I'll call the cops."
  • In a blink, Winchester dialed the cops number. "Hello, agent I would like to report from city light hospital about a serial killer who's being caught by me, I'll appreciate if you could be here in the next few minutes." Winchester said and hung up.
  • "Dear niece, it's also not bad if you taste out of the pain you caused us seven years ago. Thirty years in prison for theft and ten years for attempted murder."
