Chapter 7 Okay

  • Chapter 7
  • After struggling so hard, Alicia was able to free herself and stand on her feet. The room was lightened up and there was no longer darkness.
  • She stared around, scrutinizing the antique of the entire room, seeing nothing that amused her, she turned to take her leave when her sight caught a glimpse of a sculpture.
  • She sniffled in air and she could inhale the scents from earlier on, out of curiousness, Alicia dragged her feet towards the sculptor in a wary manner.
  • She skimmed her forefingers all over the sculptor, she couldn't help but admire the shape of the nose and mouth, she even sniffled in the scent from the sculpture, tracing her fingers at the edges of his lips.
  • She leaned a bit closer to kiss the sculpture then smiled and stepped back.
  • After taking one more glance at the sculpture, she left with a smiles over her face.
  • On the other hand, the sculpture turned back into a human, with his eyebrows creased.
  • The human was no other than Logan, he was paying respect to his ancestors trying to communicate with them when Alicia came to ruin his efforts.
  • He had waited for almost twenty years to communicate and now that he has the opportunity, the lady out there had to ruin it.
  • His eyes fluttered shut as he exhaled some air out of his lungs, a frustrating sigh.
  • Soon, a soft knock came on the door with Logan’s response erupting in the air.
  • “Come in,” he said with fury brewing in his mind.
  • “Lord, the young mistress insisted on returning to her family house. What should I do?” Eliot asked with a hint of concern in his tone.
  • “Dismiss her,” Logan answered swiftly and Eliot was a little taken aback by his response.
  • Although he was not stunned cause he knew his lord detested woman, but a few days ago when he had picked the human from the tarred road and even sponsored her trip to be treated here in Houston, he had thought Logan had changed for good.
  • “Alright, master!” Eliot answered with a courtesy bow before leaving the room.
  • As soon as Eliot reached the living room, he found the burly guards all looking around as if they were searching for something.
  • “What’s going on here?” Eliot asked as he covered the distance between them.
  • They flinched and glanced at each other before responding.
  • “Sir, there was a fire alert and so we had rush to check things out.” One among the guards answered.
  • Indeed when Eliot looked around there was traces of water on the linoleum which implies a fire must have occurred just a few minutes before his exit from the scene.
  • Instantly his mind drifted to Alicia Grey.
  • “Where’s the young lady?” Eliot enquired, his body alert as his eyes lingered around.
  • The guards stared at each other before rolling their glance around.
  • “Hurry and search for her or else your head will roll off your shoulders!” He ordered in a stern tone at the same time moving away from his standing position to look around.
  • Soon another of the guard rushed in to inform Eliot that Alicia Grey had ran away.
  • The room was thrown into an austere silence when Eliot had broken the news to Logan of the sudden disappearance of Alicia Grey from the house.
  • After a short minute of silence, Logan’s voice pierced through the air.
  • “Take me out of the house,” Logan said and in no time their luxury Maybach car parked neatly at a roadside which was closer to the hospitals.
  • Logan had ordered Eliot to drive here and waited patiently.
  • Eliot couldn’t refrain himself from asking His lord, Logan of the reasons he had asked them to park at the roadside instead of searching for the young lady.
  • In a few minutes, Logan got out of the car and walked briskly like an air behind Alicia when she had appeared at the city light hospital.
  • Somehow Alicia felt the air on her body standing up but couldn’t fathom what was wrong.
  • She stopped at her pace to listen to the weird movements behind but there was none.
  • As soon as she moved a step, she was quick to glance around but there was none in sight for her to behold.
  • Somehow, Alicia felt she was being watched but there was nothing to prove that as everyone around her seems to be engrossed in their daily activities.
  • She swallowed and hurried towards room 38 in the executive room so she could check on her dad.
  • She could still remember her dream from the previous night about what was going to happen to her father, and now, she just has to try her best to avert such fate.
  • Alicia stopped in front of the intended room, her heart beating faster as her hands hung in the air for a little while as she pondered on opening it.
  • Just then she felt a shadow loom over her, and her body stifled that she couldn’t even move.
  • She felt a nibble across her nape, a cold air brushing at the spot nonstops.
  • It was like an illusion to her, a sleeping paralysis but only this time she was active but her body suddenly grew numb.
  • Suddenly, she heard the hoarse voice whispering crossly behind her ears. “You belongs to me. I owned you, every bit of you!”
  • The voice and the cold air disappeared and Alicia panted heavily, just now it felt as if the whole world problem were placed on her, and now she felt so light-weight.
  • Was that a something to panic about?
  • She pondered then shook her head.
  • Alicia remembered her purpose of coming to the hospital, and her brows furrowed tightly as she pushed the door open all of a sudden.
  • Gone were her previous life when she had let people who weren’t even up to her standard to trample on her, but now she’s going to pay each of her offenders with every of their coins in return.
  • “What do you think you’re doing?” Alicia’s voice ranged in the air, disrupting the attention of the intruder inside her father’s ward.
