Chapter 13 Death [Warning]
- Ivy’s heart stopped as Harrison’s body collapsed on to the floor with a loud thud. His hand slipped from hers, leaving a cold emptiness in its wake. Panic flooded through her chest, drowning her thoughts. He couldn’t be gone. He couldn’t.
- A shadow flickered at the edge of the room, a man emerging from the dim corner where the darkness had swallowed him whole. Ivy’s breath hitched. She barely had time to process the scene before the man stepped fully into the light.
- It was another man, tall and imposing, his frame was broad. His features were sharp. But the gun was still in his hand, the one that had just fired the deadly shot, was aimed directly at Ivy.
