Chapter 8 Hot Yes

  • “Waitress !?” Molly yelled at me. I was shaken and my eyes almost glazed over because I expected her reaction to be like this.
  • Why am I getting annoyed? Because I was disgusted that my expectations were right. I went to my bed and lay down on it to get away from her. I stumbled over there while reading a book I borrowed from our library.
  • I was hired as a waitress - if that isn’t obvious yet. I have no experience in this kind of field. I’m currently burning brows so I can just get my degree but for now I have to go through this kind of sufferings in order to chase that degree.
  • “Hey! Why do you seem to not care? Are you serious about all this? I just lost a few days of what happened in your life! ” I smirked in my mind. How come we haven't seen each other for a long time.
  • “First, you move out of the apartment. Then you call me to say you're a surrogate but I don't understand why you're still a waitress! Stop fooling me. If you’re a surrogate you must be rich at this moment. ”
  • I turned the page of the book, “That's it. I'm not rich, am I? So you are wrong. ” Loosing some desire, I uttered.
  • He lay down next to me to see my face. “Are you seriously bluffing me? I'm confused about you, what is the truth? ” she asked sounding so frustrated.
  • "I already told you the truth." I yawned.
  • “What the? What? You’re surrogate, but you still need a part time job just to finance your studies? Fvck tyou, Jade. Talk to my ass. ”
  • “I told you so! I have nothing to hide anymore. If you won’t believe me then that’s your problem to deal with. ”
  • She sighed loudly. I looked at her and saw a frown on her face. It's really hard to explain this one, I can't really blame her either because the situation is a bit complicated.
  • She snorted and ignored me. I sighed loud thinking this one’s really be hard to explain. I don't know, because I don't feel like telling her every detail. Because every time I remember what happened I just want to bury myself in the ground.
  • Speaking of the mighty…
  • My phone suddenly rang on the top of my table. Because Molly was close she tried to catch up with iy. But I did not allow that. Even though I was far away and on the other side of the bed I could almost beat both ends just to be the first to answer that call.
  • “What the? Easy girl! ” Molly hissed.
  • My chest trembled as I stared at who had been called, but from my big smile it was as if they had melted like chocolate when I saw that his name was not plastered there.
  • “Oh? Why don’t you answer it? Enoch is calling. ” said Molly.
  • I sat up softly on the bed and regretted that my cellphone rang. Molly looked at me in surprise. She looked down at me because she must have noticed the change in my attitude.
  • “If you’re really willing to say everything to me I might have known what’s the reason of these attitude of yours Angel. ”
  • "What now?" Annoyed I said, I went back to bed. I just put the book on top of my face.
  • "Obviously, you're waiting for a call."
  • “From my prof-”
  • “Don’t prof shit me, Angel. From the expression on your face, it is obvious that the call you are waiting from someone who’s not your professor. ”
  • "Ugh!" I groaned. "Stop the interrogation Molly."
  • “Tell me, honestly. Maybe you're not really a surrogate. It's not like you had a one night stand and you got pregnant without my knowledge, so now you're working alone just to keep that child alive in your womb!”
  • I removed the book from my face and shot him with a loud laugh.
  • “What is the extent of your thinking? But hopefully! I hope it's just like that. ”
  • “Then why? Explain it to me! I don’t understand the point of everything you do! If you are a surrogate, why are you still working? ” she asked desperately.
  • I sighed. I was stunned for a moment before she confronted me. I think she really does deserve to know, she’s my best friend after all.
  • "I'm really a surrogate, Molly." my introduction. "He gave me a million and I gave it back to him."
  • “What !?” Before she could eve say anything I cut her off.
  • “I gave it back because it feels like he doesn’t want to impregnate me. Nothing happened between us since the day we’ve met. Though, I got the 10 grand so I can pay for my last semester- ”
  • "You mean nothing happened still?" I rolled my eyes.
  • She was really more concerned if something had happened to us or if I had already paid my tuition.
  • I sighed and nodded, "Yes."
  • “The reason why I moved out was because I don’t want Enoch’s Family to know every single thing about this matter. And I had to work as a waitress obviously, for me to afford my expenses. ” I explained.
  • She pouted and listened to me more. "Is he hot?"
  • I looked at her sharply and lay down to cover myself. I don’t know if I did that because I was annoyed at the length of what I said was all he really wanted to know or because I also didn’t know what to answer. Is he? Does he look hot in my eyes? “
  • Hey! What? Is he an old fart man? ”
  • “Molly, stop. I’m gonna take a nap. ” Instead of listening to me, she hugged me on the back and actually put her mouth on my ear.
  • "What is it? Don’t deprive me of information. Is it hot? Handsome? ”
  • “I don’t know. Just find for yourself. ” I said while my eyes are shut.
  • "I'll give you books."
  • My eyes opened and I pout trying to hide my smile. She tickled me because she knows that I’ve lost it.
  • “Okay fine! He’s tall, ”I started.
  • "Uh-huh?"
  • "Uhm, looks clean, and… looks well off… rich of course,"
  • ”Just tell me if he’s hot, that’s it Jade. Stop with the humming shit. ”
  • "That's why I'm trying to picture it all out to you."
  • "Okay go on."
  • ”He… smells nice? And… uhm… a gentleman a-and his skin is fair, ” I uttered remembering the veins on his hands how it shows up because of how fair his skin is.
  • “So basically-”
  • "His eyes are dazzling, eyebrows are thick but they fit him perfectly…"
  • “Okay. Now you sounded like you fantasize every bits of that guy. ”
  • "What !?" I woke up suddenly to reality. He sat up and leaned on the bed.
  • "He's hot, I get it." she confidently said.
  • “No he’s not! I didn’t tell you he is! ”
  • "The way you describe him… I don't think so." she whispered trying to tease me.
  • "I did not say anything! More of like arrogant man, yeah!” I shouted.
  • I’m just stating facts here. He is not hot. Maybe hot headed.
  • But in the end and hidden piece of my mind were the scenes of not being able to put me to sleep at night. The way he slammed me to the door, how he unbutton my shirt and how he grasp my hair. It’s all in my head, so vivid and lively. It was so clear that I could almost feel every touch of his skin on me. He’s hot, yes.
