Chapter 15 The Breaking Point

• The Laurent estate gleamed under the golden hues of the setting sun, the lavish pool party already in full swing. The environment was thick with laughter, clinking glasses, and the smooth sound of music voicing from the speakers. Guests lounged around the poolside, champagne flutes in hand, while others danced under the twinkling lights that draped across the courtyard.
• Camille, in a stunning silk gown that hugged her curves perfectly, floated through the crowd, greeting influential guests and ensuring the evening unfolded just as she had planned. She stole occasional glances at Vincent, who sat at a reserved table at the far end of the patio, drinking his whiskey.
• “God, he’s so hot.” One of the women guests commented amidst themselves as they spotted Vincent. “Well, his new woman is so lucky; imagine waking up to this gorgeous man with a great physique every everyday, I wouldn’t need to do anything else. The two women burst into laughter while clinking cups and having way too much fun in the water in their tiny bikinis.
