Chapter 5 It Cannot Be

  • " Everything is not in the rubble. " Said a voice behind them.
  • They looked at each other and turned to face him.

  • He held in his right hand what Elijah was looking for. He tilted his head to one side in a lopsided smile without showing his teeth.
  • "Yes. " Elijah replied with some uncertainty at the dark aura that surrounded them.
  • "To think that the dead should be left alone. And, it seems, they can't even have that privilege?
  • " What?" His brow furrowed, his heartbeat increased. The woman in front of him smiled, revealing her teeth, causing mischief. " ... Are you kidding me? I don't know who you are but I need that diary. " He wanted to take it out of her hands, but he couldn't before what she did that left him in shock for several seconds. Rebekah was the same or worse. It had to be a joke, it had to be an imaginative act of his mind. He only knew that now he was up against the wall about to collapse in a corner while, around his neck, the woman was choking him, blocking the air. " Let go of me. "She was begging with force, as if her arms were spaghetti.
