Chapter 1 Start

  • One has seen things so like the smallness of the soul, but, never something so great as love with the fire of hell.
  • Don't look for me, because you find me. - My Soul.
  • "I need your help, don't leave me alone in this. " he prayed for the tenth time that day as she chased him through the corridors until she reached his office. " Listen, Mr. Collins, I'm begging you, I'm begging you to help me.
  • He set his backpack on top of his cedar desk, resting his hands on it.
  • "Listen, Elijah, I can't do that, okay? " The dark-eyed man said hoarsely. " What you're asking is unacceptable.
  • "No, it is not. "He replied, looking him in the eye. "If you told us yourself that the tomb was unlikely to be there, what is the problem with me wanting to ascertain its existence or not? " He asked with a slight frown. "Please.
  • "Whether that grave is there or not, it is unforgivable to dig up a corpse, Elijah. The dead must be left alone.
  • Elijah kept silent, thinking about what else to say, that black-eyed boy with a touch of brown, with a studious attitude, didn't want to give up, and Professor Jack Collins noticed that. Not for nothing was he one of his best students.
  • "What if she's not dead? "He asked him in his desperation to at least tell him the location of the cemetery.
  • Jack looked at him almost as if he'd heard something crazy.
  • "Please, Elijah," he exclaimed softly. " We're talking about a person who's been around for over two thousand years, practically based on myths, on stories, how can she not be dead?
  • Elijah sighed, he was right, it was illogical that someone after two thousand years of being - apparently - on earth, was still alive. He slapped himself internally at her stupid question.
  • You're smarter than that, Elijah. Think some more. "He said to himself internally.
  • "Fine, but, just tell me the location or at least the name of the cemetery...Come on. " He stepped in the doorway before his teacher came out. - Just tell me where...
  • "I'll see you on the way out. "He said, walking past him, Elijah nodded.
  • He had to know where that cemetery was, he wanted to know that, to answer his questions. He wanted to know if maybe there was even the slightest possibility of something that he thought was absurd.
  • He didn't want to be left in a quandary, he wanted answers and he would get them.
