Chapter 6 Dump Him
- Robt's smile froze on his lips.
- Looking at her cold expression, he realized that the young lady might be angry.
- He walked over to her and took her hand. As if by magic, he placed the necklace in her palm.
- "I'm sorry. I was busy picking up your birthday present yesterday, so I forgot about you at the villa. Can you forgive me this time?"
- Using such a flawed lie to brush her off, did he think that I would definitely forgive him? Molly looked at him steadily.
- She did not say anything, nor did she take the necklace.
- After waiting for a long time for a response, Robt sighed and waved the necklace in front of her eyes.
- "Why have you been so distracted recently? Is there something bothering you?"
- Only then did Molly retract her gaze. She turned her head to look out of the window and said calmly, "I'm a little troubled. A friend of mine recently realized that her boyfriend, who she had been dating for a long time, had been lying to her. She discovered the truth and complained to me, asking me if she should forgive him."
- So it was because of such a small matter. Robt laughed for a moment and gave a very rational answer. "What's there to worry about? As long as it's a lie, it's not worth being forgiven. Dump him."
- "As long as it's a lie, it's not worth being forgiven." Molly copied his tone and repeated the sentence.
- Robt smiled and nodded. He rubbed her hair again. "That's right. Don't be deceived in the future."
- Seeing his actions, she revealed a faint smile. "This sentence works on us too."
- Robt frowned and was about to ask what he meant when the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.
- Without looking at it, he casually pressed the answer button. "Who is this?"
- "It's me, Robt. Let's talk."
- The two of them were close. Molly could tell that it was Grace's voice.
- She looked up and saw the expression on Robt's face freeze for a few seconds before quickly returning to normal.
- He hummed in a low voice and hurriedly hung up the phone. Then, he found an excuse and left.
- Looking at the necklace on the table, Molly got up and walked into the room.
- After sketching for two hours, she wanted to rest for a while and opened her Twitter.
- Sliding down, she saw that Grace, who she had just followed yesterday, had posted a post half an hour ago. "After eight years, you're still the young man who softens at my coaxing. How nice."
- At the bottom was a picture of a pot of lobster and a hand peeling the shell.
- Looking at the pair of slender hands and the familiar watch on his wrist, Molly smiled and closed the phone.
- In the next few days, Robt did not return but only sent an occasional message saying that he was busy.
- But through Grace's Tweets, Molly clearly knew his schedule—go to the beach to watch the sunrise, go to the amusement park to watch the fireworks, go camping in the suburbs...
- Molly knew that Grace had posted it for her to see alone.
- However, she was not as angry as Grace had imagined. Instead, she was focused on packing her luggage.
- In the past few years, she had bought a lot of things. It would take days to clean them up batch by batch.
- She donated all her valuables. After the charity organization came to drag everything away, she was about to rest when Robt called.
- She picked it up, but the person who spoke was not him, but his buddy, Noel Randolph.
- "Molly, Robt got into a conflict with someone and wants to gamble with his life. Come to the club and persuade him!"
- When she heard this, Molly's right eyelid twitched a few times.
- After hesitating for a while, she picked up her keys and hailed a taxi to the club.
- As soon as the car arrived, Noel, who was waiting at the door, ran over to lead the way. On the way, he explained everything, "A few days ago, Grace took a fancy to a necklace at the auction house. But Robt went to the washroom, and the necklace was taken by someone else. Robt knew that she liked it very much and insisted on buying it from that guy.
- "That guy was also a racer and his family was not short of money. He said that he wanted to take a big gamble. The two of them started a round and whoever won would get the necklace.
- "If it was an ordinary lane, I wouldn't have troubled you. But they chose the Road of Death. That route is extremely dangerous. Even if Michael Schumacher came, it would be difficult for him to escape unscathed. Molly, you're Robt's girlfriend. Say something to dissuade him!"
